What do incidents actually cost you?

Most organisations know their insurance excess and almost nothing else. This works out the measurable cost of your incidents from your numbers — lost days, investigation hours, cover — and then shows the uninsured portion sitting underneath it. Every assumption is visible and adjustable. Nothing is stored or sent; it runs entirely in your browser.

What we deliberately don't estimate: the human cost, HSE Fee For Intervention or prosecution, insurance premium increases at renewal, lost tenders where a client asks for your incident rate, and the cost of an investigation going badly because the records weren't there. Any one of these can dwarf everything above. We'd rather you put your own figure on them than invent one for you.

Total incident-side cost as a multiple of the measured line (lost time, cover, excess). 2× means the uninsured iceberg is as large again — not three times. Set 1× to count only what you entered. Literature quotes much higher ratios; we default low because a number you'll believe is worth more than a number that wins an argument.
Mobile capture at the point of work, workflow instead of chasing, no re-keying into a separate compliance system. Default 35%.

Working day = 7.5 hours. The uninsured multiplier is applied to incident costs only — never to the admin line, so nothing is double-counted.
